Below you’ll find answers to our most common questions. We strive to do our best to answer all of your questions as part of the first steps in getting to know our school and our services.
Is Creative Corner School licensed? Are the teachers certified? To what standards?
Creative Corner School is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Our staff of over 40 teachers are certified by EEC. In addition, all Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten Prep teachers are required to be degreed. Most toddler and infant teaches also are degreed. All of our teachers are certified in First Aid and CPR.
What is the teacher-to-child ratio at Creative Corner School?
Infants – 1:3, Toddlers – 1:4, Pre-K – 1:10, Kindergarten – 1:10.
What kinds of safety measures are in place at Creative Corner School?
In addition to our professionally trained and certified staff, our facility features state-of-the-art fire, security, and communication systems.
May I observe Creative Corner School during the day?
The parents of enrolled children may visit Creative Corner School and observe their child’s activities at any time. We encourage all parents contemplating enrolling their child at Creative Corner School to make an appointment to visit us with your child to experience the curriculum on a first hand basis.
When is the school closed?
Creative Corner School is open 52 weeks/year, 5 days/week, 11 hours per day from 8am to 5pm. We offer Summer Programs in addition to our school-year curriculum. We are closed on major holidays.
What is Creative Corner School’s snow policy?
Creative Corner School strives to be open every day regardless of the weather. We close only when the Governor officially declares a Snow Emergency as a result of inclement winter weather conditions.
How will Creative Corner School communicate to me about my child’s growth and progress?
Parental involvement and input is sought out and welcomed at Creative Corner School. Your child’s teachers will provide regular updates as to your child’s progress, and encourage questions from you (both to us and to your child) about what they are learning.
How much does Creative Corner School cost?
We offer many options and plans to meet your family’s needs and a discount for multiple children. Our Financial Director will be happy to answer all of your questions and will work with you to put together a plan that fits your needs.
