We are proud to offer so many wonderful Arts & Enrichment Programs at Creative Corner School. The excitement around our school on our A&E days is palpable. The bond our children feel with our A&E friends is strong and really special to witness. The kids light up with our friends are present and we love to watch their interactions and experiences.
Heather has a special gift and her willingness to share this gift with children is as natural as it gets. Watching Heather interact with our children is not to be missed. She lights up every room she walks into and the kids are mesmerized by her comforting voice and kid friendly yoga poses. We feel so grateful for our time with Miss Heather every Thursday. She helps our children stretch, flex and tone their little bodies and it’s always a good day when happy feet kick off our yoga sessions. And if it were possible to love Miss Heather more, we do because she’s also a talented children’s author. “My Cow Blue” and “Popcorn” are a delight to early readers with vivid illustrations and fun story lines. Heather lives in Beverly and has two incredible kids Wyle (20) and Prescott (14) who ground her and make her proud.
WINCHESTER LIBRARY READING PROGRAM
We are honored to have a close relationship with the Winchester Library. Their librarians work closely with our school and teachers to identify materials that will enhance and enrich the work in the classroom. “Teacher Packs” are created to extend the themes of our curriculum. Visits to Creative Corner School include special programs, booktalks and storytimes which we treasure.
SUPPER SOCCER STARS
Once a week Super Soccer Stars come to us to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Our relationship with Super Soccer Stars helps to nurture, build self-confidence and develop teamwork in all of our children. Their specially designed curricula uses positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to ensure that each child improves at his or her own pace while having endless fun, something we’ll never take for granted at Creative Corner School.
MUSEUM OF SCIENCE STEAM PROGRAM
In an effort to support our STEAM curriculum, we are thrilled to offer a partnership with the Museum of Science Boston to expand the minds and problem solving skills of our children. Wee Engineer channels preschoolers’ natural curiosity and creativity into structured play. Designed as the first preschool engineering curriculum, Wee Engineer sets young learners up for success in school and life. Four hands-on engineering challenges ease learners into the worlds of science and technology as they practice social, fine motor, cognitive and language skills. They learn that there is more than one way to solve a problem and more importantly, that it is ok to fail and try again.
Tina has been working in the fitness field for the last five and a half years. She holds certifications as a; RYT and Yoga Sculpt teacher, Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Life Coach, Reiki 1 Healer and currently continuing studies as a Correctional Exercise Specialist. Over the last 20 years Tina has worked in early education and care as a certified daycare teacher, director and nanny. Through her years in the childcare field she has always felt children do best when we can focus on their strengths as individuals. What she has found is that through various forms of fitness children' s strengths can be better understood. Tina’s yoga and movement groups are geared to aid in their confidence and capabilities as growing humans. Tina hopes that with her guidance, she can help each child tap into their strengths that much more through movement as they continue to develop during these early stages of life.
YOGA WITH TINA
